What’s The Plan
Step 1:
A consultation and diagnostic during your first session is the first test to getting results. This is where you can bring in treatment plans, x-rays, radiological reports, and other vital data from other professionals like Chiropractors, Physical Therapist or Personal Trainers so we can use to determine what is going on. This is often my most important step with most clients because it gives you the opportunity for the first time to really talk to somebody who's willing to listen. So often we get pushed out of the door after 10 or 15 minutes when really what we need to do is sit down and get on the same page. One of the questions I think everyone should be ready to answer is: What can’t you do now that you used to be able to do? It's important to be ready to work as we will most likely be starting some body work that day so that your next session we have a baseline to start with. During the session we will often times start doing some basic bodywork and use several different techniques to see later how your body reacts to different techniques this is a vital piece of information because it can completely change the timeframe of how quickly things will start changing for you. One of the most important attributes that comes out of good bodywork is efficiency. The reason you should be paying more for better work is because it's more efficient and more effective, that is the value. Before we part I will let you know when to return and which kind of session to book.
Step 2:
At your second session (which usually happens within the 3 - 5 days after your first session) We do a diagnostic regression check which simply put means that we see what bodywork techniques used during your first session best worked for your body. Every person is different and their body responds to different types of techniques differently the idea Is that we try a few different ones out during first session and see which ones performed best for you. Another thing that happens during that second session is that we start to form a calendar not necessarily a treatment plan but an idea of how quickly we could reach your goals. This is where we talk about how often you need to come in and what the general benchmarks are going to be for your treatment. Benchmarking is important because they're independent of how you feel in your body but how you're functioning in your body. Independent benchmarks of success are used in rehabilitation and fitness performance which is why they are also used here.
Step 3:
We start working aggressively towards your goal. No matter what you're coming in with we want to get you there and your commitment is paramount. I is always going to be realistic with you about what your going to need to do to get there but its will always be in balance with realistic time frames and commitments. So often I hear: “life got in the way” And that does happen but I think part of success is understanding the nature of setbacks. I think that chiropractors and fitness professional sometimes forget that people live in the real world and that financial or time constraints can often have a significant impact on their clients success. When you come here you're coming in because you want to and you're staying because you choose to that means that being honest and working hard is a two-way street. I work with the reality not necessarily the ideal which often times get significantly better results than asking people to work and unrealistic treatment plans with no flexibility.
