The Trend Towards Daytime Bodywork
So Covid has changed life for many people and as the once again we hope that the spring and summer will bring an end to some restrictions and a return to “normal”. One of the most interesting is working from home and over the last few years how well it seems to be working not only for employees but (not admitted often) it does work for employers too. So what has it done to massage and bodywork? Well, as a trend in massage and bodywork has seen nation wide more day time appointments coming in. Daytime appointments in this industry is between 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This (at least in my way of thinking) has been great because its part of the “normal” way the industry to have most appointments working at night (say 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm). Looking through some of my schedule of the last couple of years the number of night time sessions has dropped by at least 80% and I must admit its nice to be home before 9:00pm and in bed before 10:30pm.
What does this mean for clients right now and in the near future (that meaning 2022 going forward)? Not sure yet to be honest because it depends on the how demanding companies are to getting people back in a office building. Those who came in a lot at night during the last few years have done so because their jobs demanded it or their kids school schedules did. Well that could be changing too, as third shifters fight to get their day time sessions back from the work from home crowed. At last from my point of view I will most likely stop working so late so often and just see people more on the weekends.
Want to get in for a session? Just remember that it’s better to book a session online and cancel before getting changed than to try and get in on a moments notice.
