Spring 2022 Newsletter
Last Year
Last year was a slow, then crazy, then slow. But overall still a good year and as always I am very grateful for your referrals. As with 2020 more and more clients are coming from inside the city of MPLS. which tells me the people that live or work in the city are asking for business to stay in the city and like never before are spending money to show all of us business owners that we are in the right place.
Reminder About Retail Items & Use Items
I will be reducing and eliminating many of my retail items in an effort to reduce overhead as well as focus on providing resources to people rather than products. Resources tend to give people a direction to go in that's best for them based on my observations and their concerns versus people buying products for me and then not having as many choices as to modifications or other things I can influence by decision including things like cost. Then their items for use this is a different thing in that if I believe a client can benefit from a product and they need a more immediate solution rather than give them a direction to go in to give them product to try. Many people see things on the TV or hear about through the Internet and they wonder if it will work for them. For many years I have investigated these items to see if I believe they have any medical merit within my scope of practice and I will buy them. If I find the product is durable the company that makes the product is ethically promoting and sourcing the product I will bring it into the office and demonstrate the item if I believe it has a benefit to the client directly and discuss with them how I believe it is beneficial. I do then allow clients to take the item home to try it and I provide them significant structural information from the manufacturer as well as myself for their particular needs. I didn't make a note in each customers log who takes the items out and when they book the next appointment I request they bring it back if they choose not to use it or it does not it fits into their life. If people wanna keep it I charge them what I paid for plus tax. It's rare people keep the product. If you have any questions about this please let me know.
Sessions This Summer
I do anticipate that as conditions change this will be a very busy summer so I'm asking everyone to please remember that I have a two hour and one minute cancellation policy and you can book up to two hours and one minute in advance of an open appointment. So please consider booking as early as possible and take it advantage of the cancellation if needed. There is a 50% no call no show charge. This is by far the most generous cancellation fee and booking availability policy of any bodywork or massage company I know. Please also remember that unless conditions drastically change prices will not be going up in price you see on the website is the price you will be paying there is no additional taxes, fees, upgrade charges, or tip required.
Reminder About Passive Marketing Policy & Looking for Your Trusted Referrals
Part of my commitment to all of you is to not bombard you with marketing materials like many other companies do. Even though you value the product or services they provide for you I still insist on reminding you that they exist and effort to drive up sales. I don't think this is inherently wrong but I think it becomes excessive in our modern world and I have taken a stance since day one that the marketing ideal is limited and not intrusive in other words passive. So I ask everyone to please consider following my social media channels as a passive way of keeping up-to-date with me as well as reading this newsletter which you receive during the fall and spring every year. I know also asking all of you to please actively bring me business cards for wellness and health referrals to practitioners who have also found trust worthy and effective as my Rolodex has drastically disappeared over the last several years. I'm specifically looking for people in the following fields: physical therapy, personal training, chiropractic, massage therapy including any specialties, nutrition, acupuncture.
Time Away in 2022 Canceled
Due to the disruption in Europe as well as the increased cost of vacations and the projected increase in business during the summer and fall of 2022 I will be postponing a much-needed vacation until 2023. It will be eight years since my last vacation that is anything longer than a three day weekend. In the Fall 2022 news letter I will announce out of office dates if they are available as many client of my try and coming while they travel to Minnesota.
